Andoni Psaltis specialises in commercial lending and development finance, working closely with property developers, investors and business owners to structure funding solutions for a wide range of property transactions.
With more than 25 years of experience in banking and finance, Andoni brings deep credit expertise and a strong understanding of lender requirements to every deal. Prior to joining 1st Street Financial, he spent 14 years in a senior role at ANZ in Corporate and Institutional Banking, most recently as Executive Director, Head of Credit and Capital Management. In this role he was responsible for structuring and approving large and complex transactions across a variety of sectors, with involvement in billions of dollars of lending. Earlier in his career, Andoni also held roles with international banks including ABN AMRO in Australia and Mizuho in London.
This extensive credit and structuring background provides Andoni with a strong foundation for commercial finance. In development finance, he works with clients across the full property development lifecycle, from early feasibility and site acquisition through to construction finance and funding for residual stock. His experience spans residential developments as well as commercial assets such as childcare centres, retail properties and mixed-use developments.
For commercial property investment or business transactions, Andoni’s strong financial background also allows him to assist clients with cashflow lending and assessing business borrowing capacity, helping ensure the most appropriate financing structure is put in place. Working with a broad panel of lenders, Andoni helps match clients with the most suitable funding source for their project, whether major banks, non-bank lenders or private credit providers and can assist with senior debt, mezzanine finance and preferred equity solutions.
Known for his ability to structure complex transactions and navigate lender credit requirements, Andoni works closely with clients and key stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes and build long-term relationships.
